About the Currency Converter
Use this converter to estimate the value of one currency in another with a mid-market exchange rate. Enter an amount, choose the currencies, and use the swap control to reverse the pair. The displayed update time shows when the current rate was retrieved.
How to Read the Rate
A rate such as 1 US Dollar = 0.92 Euro means one unit of the first currency converts to 0.92 units of the second. Rates move throughout the day, so use the result as a reference rather than a guaranteed payment or bank rate.
Worked Example
If the displayed rate is 1 US Dollar = 400 Armenian Dram, then $25 converts to 25 x 400 = 10,000 Armenian Dram before any provider fee or exchange margin. The update time identifies when the quoted reference rate was retrieved.
Useful Checks Before You Exchange
Compare the quoted rate with your provider's final amount, including transfer fees, card charges, and any exchange margin. For travel or budgeting, try a few nearby amounts to see how a rate change affects your total.
Rate Source and Limits
The current rate provider and update time are shown with the result and chart. Rates can change before a transaction completes, and historical movements do not predict future rates. For international transfers, check the final rate, fees, taxes, and recipient amount shown by your provider; see the CFPB transfer guidance.
